Welcome to the Very First Write and Pray Scripture Challenge!

What if instead of rushing through the most wonderful time of the year (wondering why we’re grumpy, overwhelmed, and our holiday spirit is missing) we instead make the intentional choice to slow down to focus on the entire reason we celebrate Christmas?

What if we intentionally take a daily holy pause to focus on Christ through writing out a single Scripture verse, and then write out an accompanying, personal prayer based on that Scripture? The Write and Pray Scripture Challenge is a themed simple, relaxing, and oh so meaningful way to focus on God’s Word and pray more. The fact that it’s launching on December 1 is just perfect – what better time of year to dive in? What a beautiful way to honor Christ by knowing Him more through this challenge.

You can participate by printing out the FREE printable (below). Each day we will read, meditate on, and then write the daily Scripture. Underline words that challenge you or are especially meaningful. Then use that verse as a prompt to write out a personal prayer. The only supplies you’ll need are the FREE printable, a notebook or 3-ring binder with paper, your Bible, and if you’re fancy or artistically inclined, maybe colored pencils, etc.

Make yourself a cup of tea, relax, and allow yourself time to truly enjoy soaking in God’s Word. By the end of the month, you won’t just have completed a challenge; you will have created a beautiful resource for yourself. This personal record of Scriptures and prayers will be something you can refer back to again and again.

My prayerful goal, by God’s grace, is to offer a fresh themed Scripture printable each month, so stay tuned for January. Let’s link arms together and take a holy pause to cherish Scripture and pray more. If you’re late to this challenge, no worries! Please jump in and join in any time!

I’m praying for you!
